Food Insecurity

In Gaia, 1 billion people suffer from chronic hunger every year and it is haunting our entire world as one of our planets biggest issue.  The solution: we will need to innovate agricultural development to ensure food security and address the food shortage. We will also need to looking into how our waste for food contributes to this food insecurity. How will you making sure that the citizen of Gaia have access to food during the post apocalyptic era.

QUEST CHALLENGE

• Explain why there is food insecurity globally.
• Explore agriculture as a way of solving the food crisis.
• Explore what makes up soil and how soil is made.
• Collect data on food waste at our school.
• Design a way to reduce food waste.
• Re purpose food for composting.
• Build worm composting bin to compose food waste.
• Collect compost for worm composting and traditional composting.
